FIKR is the only truly cross-sector and cross-cultural gathering in the Arab world, and a unique platform for ideas exchange between more than 800 Arab and international leaders. It brings together intellectuals, decision-makers, thinkers, researchers, and representatives of the private sector; as well as civil society, media and youth along with their international counterparts to discuss the most pressing issues facing the Arab region and the world.
Oufoq is an electronic publication, issued by ATF Research and Studies Center, to serve its cultural and intellectual development goals, while taking advantage of Information Technology and modern communications media revolution.
Since first issued in January 2011, Oufoq addresses current Arab and international hot issues in culture, human science, intellectual and civilization development.
As readership is decreasing in a time it’s mostly needed in the region, Oufoq seeks through the One Thousand Words articles to bring in the highest number of Arab readers to deal with our current issues; and that, in an attempt to boost Arab cultural participation.
This is a knowledge creation center with a task to arrange the research and studies related to all development, intellectual and cultural aspects of The Arab world; this is to match the main goal of the Foundation for cultural and Intellectual development.
The main objectives of this center focus on releasing periodic research and reports, in many knowledge fields, and that through three units. These are: the Research and Reports Unit, the Translation Unit, and the Seminars Unit.
The Arab Thought Foundation has announced that nominations are now open for the 7th edition of the "Arab Creativity Award” for 2013, in seven categories: Scientific Creativity, Technological Creativity, Economic Creativity, Social Creativity, Media Creativity, Literary Creativity and Arts Creativity
Arabi 21” is an integrated initiative to develop the learning of Arabic language, in line with the Initiative’s themes: research, trends / reading and literacy, professional development of teachers, curriculum, educational materials, support and funding. One of the main activities of the project is to launch a huge open website, providing educational materials, research, articles and video clips of the best practices for teaching the Arabic language from the kindergarten stage.
