The governing bodies of the Arab Thought Foundation are:
The General Assembly:
The assembly shall choose the members of the Board of Directors; review the Foundation’s annual report and reviews prospective projects, programs and plans.
The Board of Trustees:
It is the higher authority of the Foundation and consists of the founding members. It develops the general policies of the Foundation; endorses the annual budget and approves the Foundation’s regulations and by-laws. The Board of Trustees meets once per annum, and thereafter for any urgent matters.
The Board of Directors:
It consists of members elected by the Board of Trustees from among its participatory members, in addition to members elected by the General Assembly from among the Advisory Committee. The Board of Directors prepares the administrative and financial by-laws and follows up on the foundation’s workflow. It also sets plans to manage the financial investments, preserve and develop the foundation’s resources, and supervise the expenses.
It is responsible of the foundation’s operations before the Board of Trustees and has the authority to manage the foundation, set its programs and implement the administrative, financial and logistic policies after their official approval by the Board of Trustees.
The General Secretariat:
It is the executive body of the Foundation carrying out the Foundation’s policies, programs and projects. It consists of a Secretary General, chosen by the Board of Trustees from within or outside the Foundation, assisted by two Deputy Secretary Generals.
The Advisory Commission:
It consists of advisory members with a specific authority, mission, and duration.
Committees are elected by the Board of Directors to study particular projects. They are made-up of non-member specialists with no voting rights on resolutions. Each Committee has a specific authority, mission, and duration.
