Modern Education in China
Modern Education in China is an educational approach, presented by Zhou Yong-xin, which basically aims to create a happy educational experience founded on ideals guided by the belief that great human achievements can only be attained through rarified values. This hypothesis has allowed productive interaction between the applied, modern educational experience and the theory of ideals applied to education. The approach is unique to Chinese culture, in terms of its history and civilization, and enfolds the teachings of the great Chinese philosopher Confucius, who allowed that true virtue is concern for morality over matter, equality over dwindling provisions, stability over poverty, and safety and peace over material gain. Western educational theories, especially those seeking to build well-rounded individuals capable of reconciling spiritual, intellectual, and material needs, have not been insensitive to the advantages of this particular educational experience.
